“Despite a bit of wet weather, the Crusader Nation was out in full force at this annual event,” said Craig Konchak, Dade Christian’s Director of Development. “Family Fund Night is traditionally a big hit because Crusader families are always looking for an excuse to spend time together.”

In the recently-renovated Crusader Café, attendees savored a choice of authentic Latin cuisine or delicious Flannigan’s barbeque. Once inside, children and parents were surrounded by colorful bounce houses and miniature golf courses. Children and teens alike lined up to have their faces painted by Dade Christian’s upperclassmen. Various school clubs also worked hard to fundraise for their numerous upcoming activities by selling popcorn, candy, and snow cones.

At the center of it all, a huge 35 foot movie screen towered over everyone. Over the week prior to Family Fun Night, students and parents voted to determine which film would be played at the event. The evening concluded with a free showing of the box office hit, “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”
